You might be in the wrong lane if..........

I, being a professional driver, see many odd but true moments on the highways. I would like to bring to your attention, the wrong lane driver. (about 72% of you!) You know this person, it may be a family member, friend, co-worker or YOU! This is the driver that thinks the left lane is the ONLY lane and that the two lanes left of the right lane is also part of the off ramp. They also believe the middle lane has some sort of force field around it and will not remove themselves from it. Drivers in these categories are a real danger to the motoring public. They tend to make the last minute maneuver or appear so frightened, that both hands have a death grip on the wheel. So Harmony on the Highways has come up with this check list.

1. If cars are racing up behind you and then pass you on the right...You might be in the wrong lane!
2. If you see your exit is less than a 1/4 mile away and you are still two lanes to the left...You might be in the wrong lane!
(see where were going with this?)
3. If traffic has to split you on both sides....You might be in the wrong lane!
4. If you are NOT sure where you are going and you are in the fast lane....You might be in the wrong lane!...... (Ok, it's getting old and you should get it by now)
5. If you are approaching an emergency vehicle on the shoulder and you are in the lane closest to it.....(This is now a law in ALL states, being actively enforced!)
6. If a vehicle is broke down on the shoulder and you are in the lane closest to it.. You are just rude! and in the wrong lane!
7. If at a red light, you are going straight and the traffic behind you is turning right....
8. If you are on a cellphone and in the fast lane.....(you should be parked somewhere)
9. If the bright orange sign says right(or left) lane is closed ahead and you are in that lane....
And finally, but not the the last of the possible scenarios,
10. If you have seen more middle fingers today and thought you were missing out on a hot new trend!.....YOU might be in the wrong lane!!

Now, Harmony knows there are many more irritating situations, out there on the highways and we know about most of them. However, if you have one that just "crawls your skin" let us know and we will share it in an upcoming blog titled, "Peaves and Beefs", as well use it in our courses.

Thanks for reading and "let's be careful out there"
