Have you ever been driving along the highway and noticed the Highway information sign flashing descriptive information? Usually describing a child and vehicle. How about listening to a good tune on the radio and suddenly a disturbing sound followed by a cryptic voice describing the same type of information. These are AMBER ALERTS. Do you then start looking for the vehicle or people described? What if it was your child? As drivers, we are so used to just tooling down the road, that we forget life is going on around us. Harmony on the Highways would like for you to take a minute and think about the last trip you made. Think of as many details as possible from memory. Most of you can't remember the trip, no matter how short or long. And sadly, most of you make this trip more than once a day. This is why we offer our courses, teaching the AWARENESS program. We believe drivers can become safer, through information and education.
Today's drivers are faced with many obstacles in their commute. These are generally created by themselves. Things such as busy schedules, two parent working families, the ECONOMY!, jobs they dislike, multiple children involved in many activities, resulting in STRESS and ANXIETY.
The hustle and go attitude along with a road rage mentality of many drivers is putting all of us on the highways at risk. Drivers selfishness and lack of planning causes many of the incidents on the roads. 96% of all incidents are the result of inattentive drivers and 48% of fatality crashes involve alcohol. These stats are ludicrous and unacceptable! As a driver, you have ONE responsibility, CONTROL THAT VEHICLE! As a public, we must alert authorities, when we encounter DWI drivers.
Harmony on the Highways reminds you that life is lived in seconds and it only takes ONE to change lives forever! Please learn more and get involved by visiting our site and following this blog for more helpful driving tips.
